The 27 year old Smith has been a player United have been after some time, and after impressing head coach Gordon Igesund, the striker has completed a move back to province in which he enjoyed an excellent spell at Golden Arrows, culminating in 2 National team call ups.

“Norman is a Prolific Goal scorer, is excellent with his back to goal and is strong with both feet. These are all qualities that I feel will compliment the teams other strikers,” said United Coach Igesund.

“I am now looking forward to becoming a Maritzburg United player and want to thank the Coach for the opportunity and I hope to repay him with goals” said Smith.

Smith is the 3rd new signing this week after those of Byrone Hendricks and James Madidilane.
