United to Defend Trophy

The Team of Choice will be off to Ladysmith in the KZN Midlands this Sunday ( 26-07-2009) to participate in the annual Uthukela district municipality Mayoral tournament as the defending champions after annexing the trophy last year with wins over an Uthukela invitational team and Thanda Royal Zulu.
Coach Gordon Igesund has the opportunity to see some of his new signings in action . . .

“We are grateful to the Uthukela district municipality for extending us an invite to participate in the annual challenge and thus have an opportunity to defend our trophy,” said Brand manager Younus Kadodia.

”This exercise also allows the fans of the team in the region to meet their hero’s at their doorstep and get a first glimpse of the team’s new signings.” added Kadodia.

United will play the 1st semi final against newly promoted Jomo Cosmos at 09h00am with Amazulu taking on the invitational team in the second semi final.

This promises to be a great football spectacle and the perfect opportunity for Head Coach Gordon Igesund to test out different combinations ahead of the new season.
