UNITED HUNT FOR HOME VICTORY

24 November 2009

The “Team of Choice” will be looking to welcome their new coach, Ernst Middendorp to their fortress at the Woodurn Stadium with a victory against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday the 25 th November 2009.

Although United went down 3-2 to Champions, Supersport United, they gave a creditable account of themselves and had it not been for a few mistakes they could have shared the points or won the game. Based on that last outing, Bidvest Wits can expect to face an upbeat United outfit in their back yard.

With central defender, Bageta Dikulu (pictured above), back from his two match suspension, Coach Middendorp has a full complement to select his starting lineup from.

If United can minimize their mistakes and if Rudolf Bester and Felix Obada can return to form, with Brice Aka continuing in the same vein as he did against Supersport United, it could be a torrid evening for Wits keeper, Darren Keet.

Roger Da Sa’s side will also be looking redeem themselves after going down 2-1 to basement tenants AmaZulu at home.

The Students will be hoping that their Brazilian midfielder Fabricio Rogrigues is back at his best with striker Calvin Kadi adding to his free scoring tally.

Importantly for United is a victory that will reignite their quest for a top 8 placing come the end of the season, and the players are aware how important this victory is for both the team and their faithful.

Tickets are available at the Club’s offices, Super Save Supermarket and the Recto One Taxi Association offices. Stadium gates open at 17H30.
