Maritzburg United earned a 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits at the Woodurn Stadium on Wednesday the 25th November

But the Team of Choice suffered a set back in the sixth minute when Sifiso Myeni took advantage of some hesitancy to slot past Goldman.

Noah Chivuta had an effort cleared by the Students’ defence before Rudolf Bester struck the equaliser in the 25 th minute, getting in on the end of Bheka Phakathi’s flick on.

Fadlu Davids had chances both sides of half time and was unlucky to see his second half header crash against the woodwork.

Maritzburg pushed hard in the closing stages of the match for a winner, but Clever Boys keeper Darren Keet denied United the three points as he saved from Collen Zimba and then Chivuta.
