UNITED TO TAKE THE FIGHT TO PLATINUM STARS

2 December 2009

In what has been called the “crazy” period for all the PSL teams, the “Team of Choice” welcome Platinum Stars to the Woodburn Stadium on Wednesday, 02 December 2009. Kick off at 19h30.

Stars who were 2-1 winners over Golden Arrows this past week-end, will be looking for an away win against United and with Steve Khompela at the helm, they will prove to be a major threat to the Team of Choice.

United, buoyed by their victory over Amazulu will be keen to secure maximum points in front of their home faithful.

United’s Head Coach, Ernst Middendorp has mentioned that United will be focusing on 1 game at a time, and with the likes of Felix Obada and Brice Aka up front , Khulekani Madondo in midfield and a vastly improved back four led by Byron Hendricks, United will look to give the visitors a difficult time at the United fortress.

Stars will not be easily intimidated and with an astute technician in Steve Komphela, the Tycoons will make United sweat for the points as they have proved both at home and away in this campaign.

They have a very talented and experienced squad in the likes of a rejuvenated Old John Mabizela, Dillon Sheppered and Alton Mering.

In Henrico Botes they have highly aggressive striker that has the ability to turn nothing into goals and Sheppered improving with each game, United will mindful not to take this game lightly.

However on the night and with home ground advantage, United will want -to make up lost ground and continue their climb up the league table as well as look to avenge the 1-0 loss earlier this season to Stars.
