Davids to Attend Trial in China 20 January 2010 Maritzburg United’s Captain and Striker Fadlu Davids is heading off to China for a week long trial at Chinese super league outfit Shaanxi Chanba.

The Chinese outfit have been impressed after watching Dvd’s of the industrious forward and have requested him to attend a trial in the country.

The “Team of Choice” are currently hard at training in preparation for the resumption of the league campaign in February. United will be away to Jomo Cosmo’s in their 1st game back on February the 3rd at the Rand Stadium in Johannesburg.

“Fadlu has been a great servant of the club during his time here and his current role as club captain lays testament to his value and contribution to the club” Said Brand Manager Younus Kadodia. It will obviously be a huge loss for the club but at the same time we will not stand in his way” Added Kadodia.

Davids has won the club’s Golden Boot Award for the past 2 Seasons.
