All Ticket Affair for Harry Gwala Opener

The newly revamped Harry Gwala stadium will play host when Maritzburg United entertain Lamontville Golden Arrows on Satuday, 06 February 2010 in an Absa Premiership encounter.

The 1st round fixture between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw and both teams will be eager to collect maximum points.
The game which kicks of at 20h15 will be the main feature in the official opening of the revamped Harry Gwala Stadium.
Arrows Coach, Manqoba “Brilliant” Mngqithi recently returned from Spain where he spent time with the biggest and most successful Club in Europe, Real Madrid. While he was away his outfit was kept in shape by his technical team and he can select from a full squad with the exception of Musa Bilankulu and Philani Shange who are still nursing injuries.
The “Team of Choice” will have stalwart Bageta Dikulu back from his one match suspension and will be at full strength and will look to grace the occasion with a solid performance in front of their home faithful.
Arrows will look to Richard Henyakane their free scoring forward to settle matters, while the “Team of Choice” will have Rudolph Bester and Fadlu Davids supported by flying Felix Obada to create problems for the Arrows back four.
“With the quality of players on both teams being exceptional, the level of football promises to be of the highest quality and with it being a Derby this game has all the ingredients of being a cracker” said Brand Manager Younus Kadodia.
“Derbies are great levelers and this one is special as it is the opening of the Harry Gwala Stadium and both teams will want this occasion to be theirs and enter into the history books.” Added Kadodia
A whole host of entertainment has been lined up by provincial and local government for the event. The list of entertainers for the day includes the likes of SOS, Big Nuz, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, DJ Siyanda and Amaroca. There will also be a celebrity match between a Maritzburg Legends team and local and provincial politicians.
Gates open at 14h00 and with only a limited number of tickets still available, spectators are urged to book their tickets early to avoid the disappointment of being a part of this historical gala event.
Tickets are available at CompuTicket outlets nationally, Super Save Super Market in Retief Street, Pietermaritzburg and the Club’s Offices in Victoria Road, Pietermaritzburg.
Tickets will not be available at the stadium on the day and season tickets will be Valid. There will also be road closures around the stadium and the public are encouraged to come early to the stadium and join in the festivities of the day.
