Maritzburg duo off to Germany on fact-finding mission

Younus Kadodia and Muhhamad Kadodia, Commercial and Financial managers respectively at Maritzburg United, are off to Germany on a fact-finding mission on the Bundesliga.
 


The Bundesliga is widely accepted to be amongst the best run, if not the best run league in the world, with average attendance figures at the stadiums unparalleled.

The National Soccer League of South Africa - the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has established a working relationship with the German equivalent which is known as the Bundesliga.

This is an agreement that seeks to facilitate exchange programs between the two leagues. These exchanges will vary from expertise, personnel and knowledge.

The government of KwaZulu-Natal has agreed to financially send the Maritzburg contingent, as well personnel from AmaZulu and Golden Arrows, to Augsburg, Germany.

They will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge base in the following spheres:

- Communications and marketing aspects

- Football administration at an international league

- The running of the league in Germany

- Match planning and promotion

They will be based in Augsburg Germany from the period of 1 September 2011 to 10 September 2011. From there they will be touring the country and some other European locations.

Amongst the many activities the South African contingent will be involved in are the following:

- UEFA Euro Qualification GER-Austria

- Match: U23 FC Augsburg vs FC Unterföhring

- Visit of the SGL-Arena and Presentation financial system of FC Augsburg and Stadium administration

- Presentation: press and communication organization and match planning

- Presentation: ticket organization

- Presentation: ticket organization

- Aspects of football administration and promotion of the FC Augsburg

- Visit at Augsburg Newspaper and the sports office

- Visit at SGL-Arena and Presentation financial system of FC Augsburg and Stadium administration
