PSL action returns: team update
15 November 2011

This week finally sees the Team of Choice back in competitive action when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns in Pretoria on Sunday.

United go into this game in ninth place, and are looking for their first league victory since beating Platinum Stars at the end of September.

Team manager Quintin Jettoo keeps us up to date with what the latest developments in the camp are:

“With regards to the team the Coach had them playing four matches last week to keep them sharp.

“We were also able to partake in two CSI projects where the players were able to spend time with the physically challenged and these were embraced by the players very well.

“The spirit right now is one of anticipation to resume the league fixtures as there are matches continuously till the December break going forward now.

“Diyo Sibisi is suspended for the match against Mamelodi Sundowns. We welcome back Jabulani Ncubeni on his return from the Under 20 National Team.

“The Coach is hard at work with ensuring the team will be ready for the weekend’s clash.

It has been a difficult period for us as a team as this will be our fifth match on the road including the Telkom match. We are confident of getting a positive result to cement our position in mid table.”
