Team of Choice Unveil New Acquisition

Maritzburg United FC is delighted to officially announce the signing of Cuthbert Malajila.
 

The 26 year old Zimbabwean International joins the “Team of Choice” for an undisclosed fee from Dynamos Harare.

Malajila, who has signed a 3 year deal with the Pietermaritzburg based club, has been training with the team for the last two weeks while negotiations between the two clubs took place in time for him to be signed and registered before the close of the January Transfer Window.

Malajila began his career at Chapungu United before moving in 2006 to Highlanders and then to Dynamos Harare.

He won the Golden Boot in the top division of Zimbabwean football in 2007.

The striker, who has been on the club's radar since June 2010 and had spent a few weeks at the club in that period, but instead signed a contract with the Tunisian side Club Africain at the time.

Malajila has also made two appearances for the Zimbabwe national football team to date, both as a substitute, and he has already got one goal to his name.
