The draw was held on Monday night at the Nedbank headquarters in Sandton, Johannesburg.

A number of Premier Division teams will face each other including the fixture between Amazulu and Ajax Cape Town in Durban. In Johannesburg, Moroka Swallows will host BidVest Wits while Maritzburg play Bloemfontein Celtic.

Speaking at the draw, PSL CEO, Stan Matthews hailed the partnership between the League and Nedbank.

“We at the PSL recognise that the quality of our league will be measured by the quality of our competitions," he is reported as saying on PSL.co.za. "That is why it is important to have partners like Nedbank who embrace the same goals as the PSL.

“This competition is about that one moment that has potential to change lives and that is what Nedbank has been trying to do in the country."

Thulani Sibeko, Group Executive: Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs, said:

“The fifth anniversary of the Nedbank Cup is a significant occasion and we are delighted that the Cup continues to make things happen for local soccer. In 2012 we are introducing the ‘goals for goals’ campaign’ where Nedbank will donate towards soccer development, R2 000 for every goal scored.

“This donation and other initiatives will result in a combined development investment of just under R1 million for this season.”
