Goldman, who joined the “Team of Choice” during the 2007/2008 season, has failed to earn a regular role as back up to first choice goal keeper, Shu-aib Walters and was pushed further down the pecking order with the experienced Francis Chansa joined United together with two young goalkeepers promoted from the Club’s Academy.
The 28-year-old's contract which was initially set to expire in June 2013, but the player and club have agreed to bring that agreement to a premature end.
"The Club and player have reached an agreement for the early termination of the contract tying the player to the club, which would normally have ended on June 30th, 2013," said Operations Manager, Quintin Jettoo.
It is believed Goldman is now set to take his career over to the NFD, with Chippa United reportedly leading the race to secure his services.
The Nigerian, Abobade, who was signed at the beginning of the season by former Head Coach, Ian Palmer, has failed to reach expectations and has been injured for the greater part of his stay in Pietermaritzburg.
