United satisfied with Gauteng mission

Maritzburg United had a successful week up in Johannesburg where they played three friendly games as preparation for the new season.



The Team of Choice lost 2-0 to Moroka Swallows on Wednesday, drew 1-1 with SuperSport United on Thursday and on Friday beat FC AK 2-0.

“It was a good exercise for us to work at altitude and to get in some good match practice,” said team manager Quintin Jettoo. “It was pleasing to see how well the team acclimatised,” he told SuperSport.com.
