Die Hard Fans together with new supporters flocked to the food court at the Liberty midlands Mall to meet the team, who are currently in 2nd place in the Premier Soccer League standings.

Vuyo Mkhize, who is a long time fan of the Team of Choice was on hand to meet the new players and was most excited to see Mthokozisi Yende and Delron Buckley who have had impressive starts to their United Careers.

“These are 2 experienced players who will lift the entire team” said Mkhize

Jerry Gwala and Lulama Mgidi were thrilled to meet United Captain, Shuaib Walters and Buckley. “Buckley is a great role model to kids and has the ability to be a big asset to Maritzburg United,” said Mgidi.

The Fans were not the only ones to enjoy the autograph session as the Players also enjoyed the opportunity to meet their die-hard fans who are the Harry Gwala Stadium week in and week out to support their favourite team.

“It is a great opportunity for us to show our support for our supporters” said midfield destroyer Michael Morton. “We are thankful for all the time they sacrifice to support us so this is the least we can do,” concluded Morton.
