Speaking to the clubs official website, Commercial Manager Younus Kadodia stressed on the importance and advantage of having these games at home.

“The soccer loving community in Pietermaritzburg has really embraced the new signings and despite not having fan friendly weather so far at all our home games ( It has rained for every Maritzburg United home fixture with the exception of Chiefs) we have had decent home support this season so far which has helped the team immensely.

" There is an excellent, never say die attitude within the players and as we head into the busy November and December period, we need our fans to come out in their numbers to stadium and get behind the team”

The Team of Choice are currently in 6th position in the Absa Premiership and are in the Quarter Finals of the Telkom Knockout Cup and there is a huge belief within the team that they can go all the way in Cup and reach the Christmas break in a good position to challenge in the 2nd half of the season when the League resumes in February after the Afcon Break.
