Kutumela has signed a three year deal, while the other two players join on loan deals until the end of this season.
Matsi, a combative 28-year-old central midfielder who joined from Cape Town City, has already played two games for the Team of Choice, while Kutumela and Moseamedi could potentially debut against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday in Pretoria.
The livewire Kutumela, 25, signed for Orlando Pirates three seasons ago after having fired in 18 league goals for Baroka FC in the National First Division.
Having had his game-time limited with the Buccaneers, he is raring to show what he's capable of once more, and is also looking forward to reuniting with head coach Muhsin Ertugral.
"It's a good move for me and I hope to get back to my form before I joined Orlando Pirates, when I was scoring a lot of goals," he said.
"I'm happy to be in Pietermaritzburg, and I am here to do what I love - play football and to help my team win matches. My new team-mates are making me feel at home.
"Coach Muhsin is a very good coach, I worked well with him at Orlando Pirates and I'm really looking forward to renewing our working relationship, I feel he can get the best out of me."
Moseamedi, meanwhile, is a different kind of a striker - a powerful-running target-man who will give United different options in attack.
"Its a great opportunity for me to start afresh and to help the team survive relegation," said the 1.90m tall forward. "The welcome was very warm and I can’t wait to get started.
"I hope to do the business on the field for Maritzburg and hopefully then I could earn a permanent deal, but we will see about that at the end of the season. I'm enjoying first training sessions with the team and trying to earn a place in the squad for Wednesday's game against Sundowns."
The club would like to welcome the three new men to Pietermaritzburg and hope that their time at the Team of Choice proves fruitful.
