A tenacious midfield playmaker, the 24-year-old has considerable PSL experience to his credit, having made his debut in the Absa Premiership for the Clever Boys in the 2013/ 14 season.
After featuring regularly for Wits over the next four campaigns, Ntshangase spent last season on loan at SuperSport United.
Capped at national under-23 level, Ntshangase has a league title winners' medal to his name and was part of the Wits side which won the Telkom Knockout final in 2017 and the MTN8 final in 2016.
“We welcome Phumlani to the Team of Choice, he's a local KZN boy and we expect to him to settle in well at our club,” said the chairman, Farook Kadodia.
“A quality, well-rounded midfielder, Ntshangase will bring some different and exciting options to the game-plan of the head coach. I met Phumlani and found him to have a well-disciplined background – a player’s character is a key aspect, and we’re confident he’ll add good value to our team.”
Ntshangase’s football journey began at Durban amateur club Barsenal, before he joined the Bidvest Wits Academy in 2010.
