MARITZBURG UNITED BOLSTER SQUAD WITH SERBIAN DEFENDER STEVIC

Maritzburg United would like to confirm the signing of Serbia-born defender Dusan Stevic.
Stevic most recently played in the Serbian top-flight for FK Napredak Krusevac. He has previously also had stints in Greece and in North Macedonia.
The 25-year-old right-back has penned a 18-moonth deal with the Team of Choice.
Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia is pleased to have the Serbian on board in the City of Choice.
"We would like to extend a warm welcome to Dusan to Pietermaritzburg and to Maritzburg United and we are confident that his stay with us will prove successful.
"The technical team together with club management identified the need to strengthen our defence and after doing our research, we found that Stevic fitted the profile well of what we were looking for.
"We believe he will bring balance and solidity to our defensive unit and give head coach Ernst Middendorp more options for the rest of the season and beyond," the Chairman concluded.
The Serbian adds to another player Maritzburg have recently brought over from Europe, German goalkeeper Marcel Engelhardt.
