MARITZBURG READY FOR PIRATES VISIT
20 October 2021

Maritzburg United will be hoping to return to winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they welcome Orlando Pirates to the Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Team of Choice lost their last two matches prior to the international break - both last ditch defeats at the hands of SuperSport United and Royal AM respectively.
Those results left them in 11th place with six points, three behind the Buccaneers who themselves are winless in two games.
It presents a real chance for coach Ernst Middendorp and his charges to make some gains on the table.
New man Alfred Ndengane believes they have what it takes to beat the Soweto giants.
"It's important that we use our home ground advantage and take the game to Pirates," he said.
"We have been playing well, apart from the results, and hopefully that will all now change in this next game. We are looking forward to it."
United have won two out of their six games this term and lost the other four.
They are four points clear of bottom side TS Galaxy in eleventh and three points adrift off the top eight.
