Sekotlong nearing return
01 September 2014

Maritzburg United midfielder Thokozani Sekotlong says he hopes to be back in action before the end of the month.

Sekotlong has not featured yet this season, having picked up a groin injury during pre-season.

In his absence, the Team of Choice have made a positive start to the season, occupying sixth place after five rounds of Absa Premiership action.

Former Tuks star Sekotlong knows it won’t be easy to get a starting place, but says he is up for the challenge:

“I have started rehab and I am left with two-and-a-half weeks before I return to training. It’s good to see the team doing well in my absence because when you come back and the team is not doing well there’s pressure. There’s competition for places, which is good for the team,” he told SoccerLaduma.

The 23-year-old Sekotlong scored five league goals for United, having made 16 starts to the club.
